Land van Engelingen

In 2011, Freddy Bels founded Land van Engelingen, a sustainable seven-hectare estate nestled in the Herk valley. Surrounded by orchards, meadows, and nature, it offers a place to unwind, slow down, and reconnect with the natural world. Guests can enjoy a romantic garden, a greenhouse, a natural swimming pond, a sauna, and a wood-fired hot tub. Children can play with the eleven resident donkeys, while cycling and walking trails start nearby. Everything reflects simplicity, sustainability, and harmony with the environment, with organic products, solar energy, and fruit from the estate’s own trees. Here, visitors can truly relax: take a refreshing swim in the pond, walk barefoot through the orchards, or enjoy a leisurely ride with the donkeys.
